This collection is inspired by a scarabs because of the of the color and the shape.

Maine Coon Cats for how furry they are, such a as the fur I added to the hood. But also how moody they can be. The tshirt graphic makes me think of the iridescent colors of the scarab shell which is panted in this city wall style. Full of overlayed colorful grafitti influenced by the melting pot of cultures and sometimes tiger like fierce messages.

The sharp edges cut of the pants I reminiscent of the back wings of the beetle, same with the rounded fury part on top. It has same shape as the rear of the wings. As well as the proportions of the hoodie. Which I cut and cropped to match that of a beetle.

As an accessory I wanted to add to the anonymity one feels in the city. Which can freeing and scary at times, I thought my favorite movie “Donnie Darko” character Frank embodies, it’s also a symbol that people in the know will recognize.
